Harmony Equine Center welcomes our newest addition!

April 26, 2019

A big Harmony Equine Center welcome to our newest family member – Jiminy Cricket! This little nugget was welcomed to the world on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:14 a.m.! Mom and baby are doing well, in fact, little Jiminy has already learned to walk and is enjoying the beautiful surroundings and attentive care he is receiving from staff at Harmony.

The adorable foal’s mom was one of 57 horses who arrived at the Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center as part of a neglect case in Park County, Colorado earlier this year. Since arriving at Harmony 60 days ago, the horses have received medical care they desperately needed, consumed a whopping 57 tons of food and gained more than 5,600 pounds! “Collectively the group is recovering very well, and we are excited about their future,” says Garret Leonard, Harmony Equine Center Director.

Ten other mares from the case are expected to give birth in the coming weeks, so Jiminy will have plenty of playmates very soon!
