The Colorado Humane Society has been providing treatment and loving homes to lost,abused and abandoned animals, providing humane and compassionate services to not only the Denver area, but nationwide for the past 125 years.

We are the oldest humane shelter in Colorado, and one of the oldest institutions in Denver. We place and treat thousands of animals a year. We also educate and help people learn about how to better care for their pets, with events and fairs throughout the state.

We have dedicated ourselves to heal, protect and educate people on the care of their pets, and of all animals. We can do so thanks to the amazing help of our volunteers, or professional staff and our contributors .

CHS NEEDS TRAVEL KENNELS

Almost every garage in Denver has one or two collecting dust. We use lots of these in many different ways. The most important is our shelter aid program. Over the last few years alone, CHS has rescued thousands of animals from shelters that could no longer keep them and would have euthanized them. Here, they found new homes and enriched many, many families.
